Robust Power & Intelligent Performance

The PRIME Z890-P is engineered for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors on the LGA1851 socket. Its 14+1+2+1 power stages integrate high-side and low-side MOSFETs with drivers in packages rated for up to 80 amps, supporting stable power delivery, efficiency and performance. ProCool 8+8-pin connectors, Digi+ VRM control, enlarged VRM heatsinks and a six-layer PCB provide a dependable electrical and thermal foundation. NPU Boost enables one-click NPU overclocking on compatible Intel K-series processors, while AI Cooling II automatically adjusts fan speeds according to CPU temperatures.

Advanced DDR5 Memory Tuning

Four DDR5 DIMM slots support dual-channel memory at speeds of up to 8666+ MT/s when overclocked, with a maximum capacity of 256GB. AEMP III optimises compatible CUDIMM memory through a comprehensive tuning process, while DIMM Fit analyses individual modules to improve performance and identify potential issues. DIMM Fit Pro gives experienced builders control over advanced memory-tuning parameters, and Intel XMP support simplifies configuration with compatible memory kits.

PCIe 5.0 Expansion & Four M.2 Slots

A reinforced PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlot provides a secure connection for modern graphics cards, with PCIe Slot Q-Release simplifying card removal. Three additional PCIe 4.0 slots support expansion cards in x4, x4 and x1 modes. Storage includes one PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot with transfer speeds of up to 128Gbps and three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, including one with SATA M.2 support. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports and Intel Rapid Storage Technology provide additional expansion and RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 options for compatible configurations.

Versatile USB & Display Connectivity

The rear panel features a USB 20Gbps Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode, supporting video output of up to 4K at 120Hz with a compatible processor. It is joined by one USB 10Gbps Type-A port, two USB 5Gbps ports and four USB 2.0 ports. Internal headers provide a front USB 10Gbps Type-C connection, four additional USB 5Gbps ports and four USB 2.0 ports. Realtek 2.5G Ethernet with ASUS LANGuard delivers high-speed wired networking, while HDMI and DisplayPort outputs support up to 4K at 60Hz.

Comprehensive Cooling & Effortless DIY

Enlarged VRM heatsinks, an M.2 heatsink, a passive chipset heatsink and seven fan and pump headers help maintain stable temperatures. Fan Xpert 4 provides automatic fan tuning and quiet-operation controls through software or the UEFI BIOS. Three Addressable Gen2 headers and an Aura RGB header enable synchronised lighting through Aura Sync. PCIe Slot Q-Release, M.2 Q-Latch, Q-LED Core, a pre-mounted I/O shield and BIOS FlashBack simplify installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
